ologen™ (OculusGen™) in Glaucoma
A New, Safe and Effective Treatment for Trabeculectomy
ologen™ (OculusGen™) collagen Matrix is to induce the fibroblast grows randomly, and leads the wound healing normally. The collagen’s porous structure can work as reservoir, a buffering system, and controlled drainage. It randomized the growth of myofibroblasts and created a new physiologic environment between anterior chamber and subconjunctival space. Unlike anti-fibrotic agents reduce the physiologic barrier by inhibition, ologen™ (OculusGen™) maintains the physiologic barrier by regeneration which keeps the function of bleb and normalize the dynamic aqueous balance to create a safe conjunctival system.

ologen™ (OculusGen™) Benefits
ologen™ (OculusGen™)
▪ No anti-fibrotic agents needed
▪ Maintain the physiologic barrier by regeneration (normal epithelium, stroma, goblet cells, vessels)
▪ Prevention of hypotony – by the pressure implant created on top of scleral tunnel
▪ Maintain the physiologic conjunctival barrier
▪ Dynamic aqueous balance with normal, safe conjunctival system
▪ Bio-Degradable
▪ No risk in long term after complete degradation

Applications & Procedures
Surgical Procedure
Implanting procedure for Trabeculectomy
Create the sclera flap and perform the procedure of trabeculectomy.

Suture the sclera flap with one stitch loosely, keep 2~3mm edge open. Before implanting ologen™ (OculusGen™) , the filtration function should be inspected to ensure good implantation. Then, implant ologen™ (OculusGen™) on the top of sclera flap and under the conjunctiva.

Reform
Suture the conjunctiva.
Reform anterior chamber. |
Care after surgery
▪ Topical antibiotic four times daily for at least 5days
▪ (1% Prednisolone acetate) every two while awake for six weeks prior to tapering.
▪ Topical cycloplegic as necessary
